ACTIVITY: Reading Eggs

You might already be familiar with this app that has played a huge part in teaching lots of Australian kids to read. It’s an interactive and colourful introduction to early literacy skills, but remember, it’s supposed to be enjoyable! There’s no rush for reading before they’re ready. Get Active: Teeny Tiny Stevies Singalong

This app is a game changer. Available at 95% of Australian libraries, you can borrow e-audiobooks using your local library membership, completely free. If your five-year old is interested in stories that are a bit more involved than picture books but not full-length chapter books, you’ll find some wonders in here.
