Get Connected: Why sharing is a big deal and what to do instead when your little one refuses

The title says it all! Let’s talk about why making kids share is a big deal and how to practice genuine empathy at home.

FOR KIDS

ACTIVITY: Create a Fairy Garden

Get your kids interested in an outdoor project by creating a fairy garden. Your helpers can collect shells, rocks and sticks to create sprite-sized fences and cobbled pathways. Add some doll furniture and some miniature plants to create a tiny wonderland. Get extra creative by looking around the house to find out-of-the-box things you can add or create different elements from.

ACTIVITY: 1, 2, 3, Counting maze (chalk or tape)

All you need for this one is some chalk for the driveway or masking tape if you want to do it indoors. Just draw a big grid, write the numbers 1-20 throughout the squares and get them to hop or jump through them in order. Randomising it completely is probably a bit too difficult, so try and place each number near or connecting to the previous in some way.
